Day 1: Arrival at Kigali international airport and transfer to your hotel

Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be welcomed by our guide who will provide a warm introduction to your tour. Following your check-in at the hotel, you will have the opportunity to explore Kigali city, taking in its vibrant culture and history.

Day 2: Visit to King palace and ethnological Museum, followed by canopy walk in Nyungwe National Park

After a delicious breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive through the picturesque landscapes of Rwanda. Your first stop will be the King’s palace Museum, offering insights into the traditional Rwandan royal lifestyle. Continuing your journey, you will visit the ethnographic museum in Butare, immersing yourself in the rich cultural heritage of East Africa. The day will culminate with an exhilarating canopy walk in Nyungwe National Park, where you will traverse a suspended bridge amidst the lush forest canopy, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty.

Day 3: Exploration of the islands in Lake Kivu

Following breakfast, a leisurely 2.5-hour drive will take you to Lake Kivu in Karongi. After a delightful lunch, you will set out to explore the captivating islands of Lake Kivu. Hiking the Napoleon Island will provide you with stunning panoramic views of the verdant landscape and an opportunity to immerse yourself in the tranquility of this picturesque setting.

Day 4: Transfer to Rubavu, hike Mount Rubavu, and visit the hotspring

Today’s journey will take you to Rubavu, where you will embark on an invigorating hike up Mount Rubavu. As you ascend, you will be treated to breathtaking vistas of the surrounding terrain. Following the hike, a visit to the renowned Rubavu hotspring offers a chance to relax and rejuvenate amidst the natural thermal waters.

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali, canoeing, visit to the parliament building, and Kimironko local market

Returning to Kigali, your day will begin with an adventurous canoeing experience on Mukungwa river, allowing you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Rwanda’s waterways. You will then visit the parliament building, gaining insights into Rwanda’s political landscape, before exploring the bustling Kimironko local market, where you can engage with local vendors and discover an array of authentic goods.

Day 6-7: Safari in Akagera National Park

Embark on an unforgettable safari experience in Akagera National Park, where you will have the opportunity to observe a diverse range of wildlife in their natural habitat. From game drives to a boat tour on Lake Ihema, these two days will offer immersive encounters with Rwanda’s captivating wildlife and landscapes.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali and departure
