The 9-Day Best of Uganda Safari with Kyooma Safaris is an exciting trip that offers gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, wildlife viewing, and other captivating activities. The main destinations in this safari include Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, and Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, you will be picked up by a guide/driver from Kyooma Safaris to begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, you will stop at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the surviving white Rhino population. After this experience, you will continue to the park, where you will visit the top of the falls and hike down and up. Finally, you will head to your lodge and check in.

Day 2: Game Drive, and Launch Trip

you will embark on an exhilarating game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, where you’ll have the opportunity to encounter the renowned “Big Five” and a diverse array of other wildlife species. As you traverse the park’s expansive Savannah and woodland areas, keep a keen eye out for sightings of elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos. The game drive offers an immersive and captivating experience, allowing you to observe these iconic animals in their natural habitat and witness their behaviors and interactions.

Later in the day, prepare for a memorable boat cruise along the legendary River Nile, where you’ll have the chance to witness the breathtaking spectacle of Murchison Falls. As the boat glides along the tranquil waters, be prepared to encounter pods of hippos basking in the sun, Nile crocodiles on riverbanks, and variety of bird species. The boat cruise provides an ideal vantage point for observing the wildlife that congregates along the river, offering an immersive and captivating encounter with the natural wonders of Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Check out of the lodge after breakfast and embark on a drive to Kibale Forest National Park, passing through the magnificent Albertine Escarpments and enjoying scenic views along the way.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, head to the park headquarters for a pre-tracking briefing before entering the jungles of Kibale Forest to search for chimpanzees. you will have the opportunity to embark on a chimp trek, guided by experienced rangers who are knowledgeable about the behavior and habits of the chimpanzees. As you venture into the lush forest, you’ll listen for the distinctive calls and vocalizations of the chimpanzees, which will guide your trek to their location. The encounter with these intelligent and social creatures is both thrilling and humbling. You may observe them swinging through the treetops, foraging for food, grooming one another, or engaging in playful interactions.

The trek through the dense forest provides a chance to appreciate the rich biodiversity of Kibale Forest and its diverse ecosystem. Along the way, you may also encounter other primate species, colorful birds, and unique flora, further enhancing the experience.

After tracking, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Game Drive, and Kazinga Channel Launch Trip

Embark on an early morning game drive through the vast and picturesque Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will have the opportunity to witness the diverse wildlife that calls this park home. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of majestic elephants, powerful lions, elusive leopards, imposing buffaloes, and a myriad of bird species. The game drive offers a captivating glimpse into the park’s rich and varied ecosystem, allowing you to observe the interactions and behaviors of its inhabitants in their natural habitat.

Later in the day, prepare for an enchanting boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. As you glide along the tranquil waters, be prepared to encounter a wealth of wildlife, including pods of hippos basking in the sun, crocodiles basking on the banks, and an array of birdlife. Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with a stop at the Ishasha sector to see tree-climbing lions. Arrive at the park in the evening and check in.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Walk

You will embark on an extraordinary gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This unforgettable adventure allows you to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. As you journey through the lush forests, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the gorillas in their natural habitat, observing their behavior and interactions. Day 8 Transfer to Entebbe airport.

On this day you will have your breakfast and then transfer to Entebbe. While at Igongo cultural Centre, you will have a lunch stopover in the land of milk and honey. In order to have a taste of their signature traditional dishes. After lunch, you will shortly embark on your journey with a stopover at the equator for the experience ,buy crafts and embark on the road trip to the airport for your flight .
