The highlight is trekking mountain gorillas in Bwindi’s misty forests, where you’ll spend an intimate hour observing these gentle giants. Relax afterward at scenic Lake Bunyonyi before returning to Entebbe via the Equator for photos and souvenirs. Day 1: Start from Airport (before 10am) or be picked from a Hotel. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP.

Your short Uganda trip starts with a pickup from your hotel or the airport. A friendly, professional driver-guide will meet you and take you straight to Queen Elizabeth National Park – one of Uganda’s top wildlife parks.

This amazing park has different landscapes where animals live freely. You’ll see chimpanzees, over 600 types of birds, lions, elephants and more. We’ll stop for lunch on the way. When you arrive in the late afternoon, you’ll check into your lodge to rest. If there’s enough time, we can do a quick evening game drive to spot some animals before sunset.

Accommodation: Baboon Safari Lodge
Meals included: Lunch & Dinner
Travel time: About 7 hours

Day 2: Wildlife Adventure in Queen Elizabeth NP

Wake up early for breakfast, then head out on a morning game drive across the Kasenyi plains. Look out for elephants, buffaloes, and lions—if you’re lucky, you might even spot a leopard (though they’re shy!). Return to your lodge to relax and enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, take a 2-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, elephants, and crocodiles swim beside the boat. Bird lovers will enjoy spotting colorful species along the shores. After the cruise, choose to unwind at the lodge or squeeze in one more short game drive before sunset.

Day 3: To Bwindi via the Tree-Climbing Lions

After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll journey to Ishasha – the famous area of Queen Elizabeth National Park where lions climb trees! You’ve got a 60-70% chance to spot these unique lions lounging in fig trees (though sometimes they’re hiding in the grasslands hunting). If you do see them up in the trees, it makes for an incredible photo opportunity!

From Ishasha, we’ll continue to your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Since you’ve got an exciting gorilla trek tomorrow, you can take it easy upon arrival – just check in, relax and prepare for your big adventure.

Optional Activity (Extra $100):
Want to add more excitement? You can do chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge before heading to Ishasha. Important: Chimp permits must be booked in advance.

Accommodation: Broadbill Forest Camp/Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge
Meals included: Lunch & Dinner
Travel time: 6-7hrs

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking & Lake Bunyonyi Transfer

Today’s the big day you’ve been waiting for! After breakfast, head to the ranger station for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules. Then, venture into the spectacular Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – a misty jungle with steep hills, thick vines, and hidden animal trails.

The trek’s length and difficulty depend on the gorillas’ location that day. When you find them, you’ll get one magical hour watching these gentle giants eat, play, and interact. It’s a truly unforgettable experience!

Afterwards, return to your lodge, check out, and drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Surrounded by terraced green hills (2,200–2,478m high), this stunning lake has 29 islands dotted like emeralds across its waters. The views will take your breath away!
