Day 1: Arrival and Kigali City Tour

Begin your safari with a morning city tour of Kigali, Rwanda’s capital. Visit landmarks like the Genocide Memorial Centre, recently listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 2: Visit Ibyiwacu Cultural Village and Transfer to Mgahinga

After breakfast, head to Ibyiwacu Cultural Village to experience authentic Rwandan traditions and culture. Interact with locals in their homes to learn about their way of life. Continue to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park through the Katuna border for an afternoon golden monkey trek.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Lake Mutanda Visit

Begin the day with a briefing before trekking to find golden monkeys in Mgahinga. Watch them play and feed on bamboo shoots during this unique experience. In the afternoon, visit Lake Mutanda for a serene canoe ride and enjoy stories shared by local guides.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Tour

Start early with coffee and prepare for a gorilla trek. Attend a briefing, then hike through forest trails to track your assigned gorilla family. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants. In the evening, visit the Batwa community to learn about their culture and traditions.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, enjoy views of crater lakes and rolling savannahs. Arrive in the afternoon for an evening game drive, where you’ll spot elephants, buffalo, lions, and antelopes.

Day 6: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

Take a morning game drive to see lions, leopards, hyenas, and Uganda kobs. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds like the African fish eagle.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking and Amabere Caves

Head to Kalinzu Forest for an exciting chimpanzee trek. Follow their vocalizations and tracks to find them. In the afternoon, visit the Amabere Caves near Fort Portal for a glimpse into local legends and the area’s fascinating geological features.

Day 8: Bigodi Wetland and Crater Lake Tour

Take a morning swamp walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, home to monkeys, birds, and butterflies. After lunch, explore Fort Portal’s nearby crater lakes for a relaxing afternoon.

Day 9: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Travel to Murchison Falls National Park, passing scenic landscapes along the way. In the evening, enjoy a sunset game drive to spot elephants, giraffes, and birds.

Day 10: Game Drive and Nile Boat Cruise

Explore Murchison’s northern sector on a morning game drive. Expect sightings of lions, buffalo, and antelopes. After lunch, take a boat cruise on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls, then drive to the top for breathtaking views and photo opportunities.

Day 11: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Departure

On your way back to Entebbe, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an on-foot rhino tracking experience. Conclude your safari and head to Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
