Day 1: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Your safari begins with a scenic morning flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip, depending on your trekking region in Bwindi. The aerial views are breathtaking, revealing rolling hills, crater lakes, and dense forests that stretch endlessly below.

Day 2: The Gorilla Trekking ExperienceÂ
Today is the big day, the highlight of your journey! After an early breakfast, head to the Bwindi Park Headquarters for a briefing from experienced park rangers. You’ll learn about the rules of gorilla trekking and get assigned to a specific gorilla family.
The trek through the dense forest can last anywhere between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movement. The anticipation builds as you follow fresh tracks, broken bamboo. And distant sounds until you finally come face-to-face with a mountain gorilla family. Watching them interact, playful infants tumbling, mothers grooming, and the silverback standing tall is one of the most emotional wildlife encounters on earth.
You’ll spend one magical hour observing and photographing these gentle giants before returning to your lodge. In the evening, unwind and share stories of your adventure around a warm fireplace or enjoy a cultural dance from the local community.
Day 3: Fly Back to Entebbe – Farewell to the Forests
