Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in the southwestern corner of Uganda. It is home to half the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population, a subspecies of the eastern gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei). This 3 Days Gorilla tour presents Uganda’s premier gorilla destination. The national park was established to protect these critically endangered mountain gorillas and is managed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
You will be picked up from Kigali International Airport by our knowledgeable safari driver guide as you begin your ‘3-day Uganda Gorilla Safari’ journey to Bwindi. The journey is very scenic as it takes you through a country of ‘a thousand hills’ to ‘the Pearl of Africa. The journey takes about 2 hours. Upon arrival, check in at your place of accommodation.
Get on a gorilla trekking experience with Kyooma Gorilla Safaris, where you will visit one of the gorilla families in Bwindi for an hour. The briefing will be at the park offices, and we will move into the jungle with park guides.
The Batwa experience teaches you about their lives in the forest. Admire their fascinating traditional music and dances, handicrafts, and traditional fire-making. Then, head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe with a stopover at the Ugandan equator in Kayabwe for equator crossing. Take memorable pictures and experience the magic of standing with your two in either sphere of the world. Take your lunch and proceed to Entebbe airport for your departure, which takes about 7-8 hours, and your flight in the evening.
