Our Top Places To Visit

Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, is home to some of the most breathtaking and diverse landscapes on the continent. At Kyooma Gorilla Safaris, we take pride in showcasing the best this beautiful country has to offer. Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast, a birdwatcher, or a lover of rich cultural experiences, Uganda has something for everyone.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Our safaris often begin with the crown jewel of Ugandan tourism: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Spanning 33,100 hectares (331 square kilometers) of dense, tropical rainforest, this park is famous for its steep terrain and extraordinary biodiversity. Most notably, Bwindi is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining 1,000 mountain gorillas. A gorilla trekking experience here is truly magical, offering visitors the rare chance to come face-to-face with these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Bwindi is also a paradise for bird lovers plus other wildlife.

Kibale Forest National Park

Known as the “Primate Capital of the World,” Kibale Forest National Park is another must-visit destination. This lush rainforest is home to 13 primate species, including our playful cousins, the chimpanzees. Tracking these intelligent creatures through the forest is an unforgettable adventure.

Beyond the chimpanzees, you can explore nearby swamps and villages for a taste of rural Ugandan life and culture. Enjoy scenic walks, interact with friendly locals, and discover the region’s rich cultural heritage.

Murchison Falls National Park

For those seeking dramatic landscapes and iconic wildlife, Murchison Falls National Park delivers on every front. The park is home to the powerful Murchison Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge, creating one of the most stunning waterfalls in Africa.

In the savanna plains, you can go on game drives to search for Africa’s Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos. A boat cruise on the Nile offers the chance to spot hippos, crocodiles, and an array of waterbirds, including the rare shoebill stork.
